Tuition refund dates

SUMMER SESSION REGISTRATION If your course section is cancelled, you will receive a refund to your original payment method.

The dates below apply to most courses, but some exceptions apply. If your course has a different start or end date, or if you’re unsure of the refund deadline for your course, check the Course Schedule in Workday or talk to Enrolment Services.

Please refer to the Course Schedule for specific course drop or withdrawal dates. In case of discrepancies, the dates listed in the Course Schedule will be honoured.

Make the deadline

You must drop your course in Workday by 11:59 pm PT on the date listed on this page, or you may not be eligible for the refund.

Registration deposits

Registration deposits are non-refundable and may not be transferred to another session.

Winter Session credit-based tuition refunds for 2026/27

Courses taken during the Winter Session may be one-term courses or taken over two terms. Check which type of course you’re planning to drop and see the refund dates and amounts.

Refund for One-term courses 2026/27

Refund for Two-term courses 2026/27

First instalment (when courses are dropped in Term 1)

Second instalment (when courses are withdrawn with a W in Term 2 with an approved academic concession)

Summer Session credit-based tuition refunds

Courses during the Summer Session may be one-term courses or taken over two terms. Look for the refund dates and amounts for courses you take in the summer.

Courses that differ from standard term dates will be prorated from the below schedule.

Graduate tuition refund for Winter Term 1, Term 2, and Summer Session

Graduate programs assessed on a per course or on a per credit basis follow the refund policies of undergraduate tuition. For all other graduate programs, see the refund schedule below.

For instalment-based students starting their program in July, course drop deadlines for the first instalment will be calculated from the Summer Term 2 start date.
