How to book an Academic Advising appointment
Registration peak period temporary service changes: June 16 – July 11
Academic advising services are in peak demand during the course registration period. To help us support as many students as possible, we have implemented some temporary service changes during this period:
Increased flexibility
All advising will be conducted through phone appointments
Advising hours have been extended, with appointments offered between 5 am and 6 pm PDT
More equitable access
Appointments will be bookable up to 24 hours in advance and will be released throughout the day on a rolling basis. How can I see when new appointments become available?
Each student will be limited to a maximum of two appointments during the peak registration period (June 16 – July 11).
Advising for your unique needs
Advisors have varying specialties and areas of expertise, and not all are equipped to support every issue or student type.
When booking an appointment, you’ll provide your year level and program — this information is used to match you with the right advisor to support your program and year level.
Make sure to confirm your program and class standing by checking your student profile in Workday
How can I see when new appointments become available?
When you’re booking an appointment, you can see all available slots within the next 24 hours.
For example, if you’re checking at 9 am PDT, you’ll see any available appointments for 9am PDT the following morning. If you check back at 9:30 am PDT, more appointments will have been released for 9:30 am PDT the following day.
- If you don’t see any available appointments, keep checking back throughout the day, as new appointments for the following day will continually become available every half hour.
Weekends: Appointment bookings for 5 am Monday will be released starting at 5 am PDT Sunday.
- This means that new appointment slots will not typically become available between 6 pm PDT Thursday and 5am PDT Sunday
