DRC Student Advisory Board

Amplify the voices of students with disabilities

Five students sit around a table, discussing something displayed on a laptop in the middle.

The Disability Resource Centre Advisory Board (DRC Board) is your platform to shape UBC Okanagan’s policies, programs, and services. We champion accessibility, tackle ableism, and ensure the needs of students with disabilities are heard.

Role and Impact

As a Board member, you’ll:

  • Kick off with a September orientation
  • Meet up to six times from September to April
  • Connect with the university community to gather feedback on accessibility
  • Research disability topics and trends
  • Open the floor: Help host at least one public forum per year where any undergrad or grad student can drop in to share concerns, questions, or bold ideas on campus life for disabled students
  • Advise the DRC to make UBCO inclusive and innovative

Your voice will shape policies, programs, and campus spaces to make UBCO a better place for all.
