UBC Okanagan Library

Your student now has access to one of the largest research collections in Canada with journal articles and books to support every subject studied at UBC. The UBC Okanagan Library is the place to begin your university-level research.

  • Each discipline has a related subject librarian available to assist with citations, starting research, developing search strategies, evaluating sources, and more. Subject librarians are committed to helping you to navigate university-level research.
  • Library collections are accessed online with a campus-wide login and can be borrowed with a UBC ID card.
  • AskAway is a virtual chat service that is available through all the post-secondary institutions in British Columbia and is an easy way to ask library questions remotely.
  • Research Guides will provide you with a starting point for research in each subject.

Office hours

Encourage your student to connect with their professors and teaching assistants during office hours as it is a great way for them to get to know their instructors and get extra help.
