International student advising
Welcome to UBC’s Okanagan campus
The challenge of living in a new environment, socializing in a new culture, and studying on a new campus is exhilarating, but even the most adventurous students can use some help from time to time. This website and International Programs & Services (IPS) aims to do just that—provide you with helpful guidance on everything from health insurance to exams to meeting people. You’ll find sections that cover the major aspects of your UBC experience and contain valuable quick-reference contact lists and other useful resources.
Our International Student Advisors are available to assist students with a wide range of concerns. Come see an advisor if you have questions about:
- Immigration documentation advising
- Health insurance
- Working in Canada (co-op, PGWP and SP)
- Career programming
- Degree progression/academic concerns
- General advising and transitional support
- English Foundation Program Advising
- Intercultural programming and events
Not sure where to start? Come and see us – we are here to help!
Our staff can also connect students with additional campus and community resources throughout their time at UBC.
