Healthy Masculinities Group
This 8-week group helps male-identified campus members discuss topics surrounding masculinity including roles and stereotypes, mental health, relationships, consent, and more. Participants have the chance to learn, engage in interesting dialogue, share their own experiences and expand their friend base on campus.
Registration for the Winter Term 1 group is now closed. Stay tuned for Winter Term 2 info sessions.
Students will be contacted via email to confirm enrolment.
The group will run every Tuesday, excluding reading week, from February 3 to March 31, from 6 to 7:30 pm.
Y Mind
Y Mind is a group for students who want to learn how to manage stress and anxiety. Participants will learn simple ways of coping with worry, negative thoughts and rumination, as well as strategies for calming the body and mind. A three-month membership to the Kelowna Family Y is included for group participants. For more information contact ymind@ymcaokanagan.ca.
Information sessions running on January 22 and 29 from 5:30 to 7 pm in the Nechako Gathering Room. The group runs on Thursdays starting February 5 until March 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Nechako Gathering Room.
Yoga for Mental Wellness
Unwind, de-stress, and take a moment for your mental wellness in a 1-hour yoga class, open to all students. No pre-registration is required.
This yoga practice is held every Wednesday from 3:10 to 4:10 PM in the Nechako 221 Gathering room. Term 2 sessions start January 21 and end April 8, 2026—no class during breaks.
Please arrive a few minutes early to set up your mat.
