Sending your student to university is a major event.  As a parent, guardian, or family member, you should know that UBC's Okanagan campus has systems and resources in place to promote your student's academic and social development and ensure their health and safety. Parent Conference is a fun, informative, and constructive introduction to our campus resources and a great way to explore support strategies for your student's success.  Register online now!

Parent Conference overview

Each year, we fine tune our presentation offerings and our schedule based on feedback from our participants.  Learn what will be offered at Parent Conference 2016.  The conference begins at 1:30pm with a welcome in our Gym followed by three concurrent sessions held in the Arts building.  Download the Parent Conference schedule handbill here.

For parents of international students

There will be two opportunities for parents of international students to become familiar with UBC Okanagan's services. Parents are welcome to attend either or both of these sessions. Questions about the international student parent sessions can be directed to ips.ubco@ubc.ca.

  • UBC Okanagan Jump Start orientation parent session - Mon Aug 29, 9:30am-12noon, meet in 2nd floor foyer of the University Centre. Please register online!
  • Parent Conference session - Sun Sept 4, 2:45-3:35pm in Arts Building ART 206
  • For parents of students participating in Kick Start 

    An additional parents session will be offered during Kick Start Orientation Tues Aug 30, 4:00-5:00pm in Arts and Science Centre room ASC 140

    By attending Parent Conference 2016, you will:
