Indigenous Pathways to Graduate Studies
Program overview
Over the course of the Winter academic session, undergraduate students interested in exploring graduate-level education will:
- Strengthen their understanding of graduate studies and the application process;
- Network with UBC Okanagan students, staff and faculty;
- Discover opportunities for different pathways to graduate studies programs;
- Participate in a mix of mandatory and optional workshops, events, social gatherings, and cultural activities.
Time Commitment: The program will have regular workshops and gatherings from September through November. These workshops and gatherings will be on Saturdays, twice a month, and range from 3-5 hours total (including a provided lunch). 1-on-1 support and meetings will be available throughout the program.
Eligibility
Students eligible to participate in the program include those who:
- will be registered as a full-time undergraduate student at UBC’s Okanagan Campus in the 2025/26 Winter Session (September-April),
- will have second-year standing or above,
- are interested in exploring the pursuit of graduate-level education in the future (e.g., master’s degree, doctoral/PhD degree), and
- can commit to participate in regular programming and workshops from September to December 2025.
Whether you are already planning to pursue graduate studies after your undergraduate degree, or you aren’t yet sure what your plans are after graduation, you are welcome to apply.
