How to resolve saved schedule alerts
If you see an alert on your saved schedule, you may need to complete an action to avoid registration issues.
- Orange alerts: You will be able to proceed with registration, but you should read the alert to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements.
- Red alerts: You will not be able to proceed with your registration. You must resolve the alert prior to registering for courses.
| Before proceeding:
When you are building your Term 2 saved schedule, you may see an alert that you do not meet the pre-requisites for some courses. This may be because you have the pre-requisites on your Term 1 saved schedule. Check your saved schedules to make sure you have the required courses to meet your Term 2 pre-requisites. This alert will be resolved after you register for your Term 1 courses. |
Navigate to a saved schedule
Follow the instructions to view a saved schedule.
Open available alerts
If any of your saved schedules have issues, an “Alert” box will appear in the top right corner. Click the text in the “Alert” box to review your alerts.
Review alerts
If there are alerts on only one saved schedule for the academic period, the alerts will describe the issue.
If there are alerts for two or more saved schedules, the alert will state which saved schedule it is for in parentheses.
Alternatively, you can click the magnifying glass next to the saved schedule header on the “View My Saved Schedules” page, to see alerts for that schedule.
Resolve alerts
The following table lists commonly encountered alerts and error messages, what they mean, and how you can resolve them.
| Alert or Error Message | Issue | Resolution |
| “Your saved schedule includes course sections with time conflicts.” | The time for a course in your saved schedule overlaps with another course. | Remove one of the courses that has an overlapping schedule. Check to see if there are course sections offered at a different time that works within your preferred schedule. |
| “Your saved schedule includes course sections that you’re not eligible for.” | You do not meet eligibility requirements for a course in your saved schedule. This may be due to a missing prerequisite. | Remove the course. If you have coursework from a prior college or university that may meet the eligibility rules, please contact an Advisor to discuss.
