Jump Start Groups

Each morning, you’ll meet up with your Jump Start group during Team Time* where you’ll meet new friends, connect with your orientation leaders and receive important updates as you navigate Jump Start.

Your group is assigned based on:

  • Your faculty
  • The first two digits of your student number

Use the group finder below to identify your group number.

Team Time on Sep 3 –  If you’ve received different check-in instructions for Graduate Student Orientation or another specific welcome event on Sep 3, please follow those instructions instead.

Not sure how to find your student number?

You can find your 8-digit student number by:

  • logging in to Workday and viewing your student profile;
  • checking your UBCcard;
  • or checking your profile in the Jump Start app.

Once you know your group number

Team time takes place every morning.

Head to the Commons Field (behind Nechako Residence) and look for your group number. Our Orientation Leaders will be holding numbered signs to help you find your group and get connected with your fellow students.
