Events
Black Student Orientation
All Black students at UBCO are invited to attend events that build community, get tips for transitioning to UBC, learn about resources, and connect with Black-identifying student groups.
Weeks of Welcome: Black Student Success (BSS) Panel
Come join us for a panel discussion featuring campus leaders focusing on mental health, building community, connecting with Black-identifying student groups, and meeting current Black community members. The purpose of this event is to intentionally create space for new and returning Black undergraduate and graduate students to connect at the Okanagan campus to explore the topic of mental health within Black Excellence.
Weeks of Welcome: Black Student Success (BSS) Financial Literacy Workshop
Come and learn from our Black faculty as they share tips and information on embedding financial literacy in our daily lives.
The aim of this workshop is to equip Black students with skills and knowledge to feel financially confident and informed in terms of budgeting, saving and credit in an un-equitable world.
