Clubs
African Caribbean Student Club (ACSC)
The ACSC creates a space for members of the African and Caribbean cultures to build a home together and create community. It is also a space where individuals who are not part of this community can come and learn more about it. We work to create a space where everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity or background can come together and celebrate our African and Caribbean cultures.
The ACSC hosts regular events throughout the year. Follow them on Instagram to stay tuned with how you can get involved!
Black Student Association (BSA)
The Black Student Association is a student-led organization that aims to support students in a professional and developmental capacity, in addition to creating community on campus. The BSA prioritizes professional, self, and academic development, as well as advocation for business growth and pushing funds back into our Black student body.
The BSA also hosts a Black Student Lounge every Thursday from 6 to 10 pm in the EME Collegia (EME 0252). The intention of the Lounge is to provide a space on campus for Black students to come study, unwind, and build community on campus. Follow the BSA on Instagram for updates on the Lounge and to stay tuned for other events and opportunities.

Meet your Advisors
Dia Kabunda
She has many names, but she invites you to call her Dia. Ubuntu, meaning – ‘I Am Because You Are’, is Dia’s life walk, and she welcomes intercultural and interdisciplinary learning and sharing. As a student, Dia sought out advice from the advising team, and it gives her great pleasure to be able to give back to the current cohort of students.
