Overview
- Starting June 2024, most continuing graduate students will have registration into a shell course named “GRTU 001 – Continuous Enrolment for Tuition Installment” for each active Academic Period
- Graduate programs that do not have installment-based tuition, such as the examples below, and are assessed based on per-credit or per-course rates will be excluded from the registration into the shell course
How and when will the GRTU course be added to student records:
- Registration will be handled automatically, integrating with Workday overnight when the system refreshes.
- For students in specified graduate programs with a status of “In Progress,” the integration will be run by Enrolment Services.
- For Winter Term 1 – will start June 1 and end in Dec
- For Winter Term 2 – will start June 1 and end in April
- For Summer session – will start April 1 and end in August
Understanding GRTU courses on your academic record
- You will see the GRTU courses on your current classes and academic history.
- The registration in these courses will ensure you are continuously enrolled and assess your required tuition installments for your program.
- You do not need to attend or complete any course work for the GRTU courses
- At the end of each term, a grade of NGR (No Grade Required) will be put onto these courses.
- The course and grade will not appear on your transcript
- You will not be able to drop these courses. Staff will make the necessary changes to your academic record if you are no longer studying in a term or session.
