Technology Bursary

About the Bursary

The UBC Okanagan Technology Bursary is designed to financially help students who do not have the necessary technology essential to learning online or in a hybrid delivery format.

The bursary is available to help students fill general technology needs such as a computer, a tablet, headphones, a webcam, a printer/scanner, specialized accessibility technology (e.g. ergonomic mouse), or internet access. This is a one-time needs-based bursary that will be allocated based on the level of need.

To be eligible for this bursary, students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at UBC Okanagan and demonstrate financial need. This bursary is available for domestic and international students.  Please note, being eligible for the bursary does not guarantee funding.

Students who need to access technology support in preparation for the 2021/22 academic year are encouraged to apply for the bursary during the application window July 26-August 4, 2021. Please check back here during those dates to complete the online application form.

After this bursary application window closes, students can contact Student Records & Financial Services to determine eligibility for a technology bursary to help offset the cost of repairing or replacing failing technology or overcoming technology access barriers that emerge.
