DRC Ambassador for Events & Media

The DRC is looking for an Ambassador to provide assistance in coordinating, organizing, and promoting Disability Resource Centre events, information sessions, and other projects and activities.  Please see job posting for more information. DRC Peer Mentor 

The DRC is looking for upper-level students willing to mentor incoming first-year students. Mentors may help new students adjust to the post secondary environment as well as help them to understand and access their accommodations. This program is specific to the DRC and separate from the Campus Life peer mentor program. A volunteer job posting on UBC's student job board is forthcoming.

Exam Invigilator for Disability Resource Centre UBCO -- Hiring in progress.  Please check the Job Board for the next posting in January 2018.

The DRC facilitates academic accommodations for students who have disabilities. One of the services that the DRC provides is exam supervision. DRC Exam Invigilators provide invigilation for UBCO students’ exams in small group or private settings. Students may be from all faculties and departments at UBC's Okanagan campus.

Peer Notetaker Program 

Do you take great class notes? Apply to be a Peer Notetaker.  Peer note takers provide assistance to students who have difficulty taking notes in class. You would provide a copy of your notes from the beginning to the end of the term to the student, who benefits from having access to study notes.

Qualifications:

Excellent writing skills – includes legibility

Committed to helping fellow students

Punctual and well-organized

Strong attention to detail
